The role

Opportunity to support the two founding partners of a venture capital firm investing only in companies that value, protect and restore Nature.

The role is ideally suited to someone looking to come in as an early hire as the firm continues to grow its investment portfolio and raise its first formal fund. The candidate should fulfil all the usual character traits of an excellent EA: they should be highly organised, personable, a self-starter, as well as having strong a personal connection to the natural world.

Your tasks & responsibilities

The two partners (35 and 40 years old) are based in Gloucestershire and work in London a few days each week. With one partner also spending a couple of months in South Africa.

The role would be full time (or open to 4 days per week) and would be hybrid with one day a week in Gloucestershire, circa two days a week in a London office and two days work from home. There would likely be a work trip or two each year and there may also be an opportunity to work fully remotely for up to a month a year.

  • Tech savvy (Gsuite & MS Office/Slack/Whatsapp are used daily
  • Some previous relevant work experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivation and a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Attention to detail, "everything matters" mindset
  • Organisation and efficiency
  • Ability to assist others with their tasks while keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to be discreet  
  • Comfort working in international and diverse  environments
  • Interest in helping the natural world
